Oxford tweet up

Saturday 27 August - be there or do something else
Oxford tweet up

What

You are cordially invited to the City of Dreaming Spires to partake of the Finest Wines Known to Humanity and meet some of the Finest Twitter Specimens in the Known Universe.

Where

The Angel & Greyhound, 30 St Clements Street, Oxford, OX4 1AB (maybe moving on to The Half Moon for those that like a dirty stay up late Irish pub!).

When

Saturday 27 August

How

Train: Oxford train station, then number 5 bus (every 5-10 minutes) to The Plain.

Bus from London: Oxford Tube or X90 to St Clements (both are 24 hour).

Car: Ha - good luck with driving and parking in Oxford! You could try the Park & Ride (a bus service, not a dating site), or the nearest car park is behind Tesco on Cowley Road.

Lift shares: Put in comments below and/or email me. The perfect match is out there!

Who

Anybody and everybody. Please don't wait for an invite - you most welcome. Just turn up :)

People that want to say they're coming (and perhaps staying overnight and up for brunch on Sunday) can fill in this Doodle if the want. Let's face it, you'll be coming to meet them and not me!

Why

Why not?

Eats

If enough people want it, I'll try and book the BBQ at The Star.

Otherwise, there are loads of places to eat on Cowley Road - most of them deliver to The Star! I especially recommend the Rice Box (cheap but nice Chinese), Mario's (Italian) Pomegranate (Middle Eastern), Bodrum (one is kebabs, the other a chippy - with saveloy) and Majliss (Indian). The Pink Giraffe (on St Clements) is the best restaurant in Oxford!

Stays

I'll fill this section in later - there are good B&B's, and some you definitely want to avoid! Two that my workmate recommend are:
